Canoe tour "Little Salmon River"
For soul and stomach we will have a hearty breakfast together with fresh baked bread and all the good stuff.

In Faro - a former traditional mining town - we will supply ourselves with food for coming trips. Afterwards we will follow the Robert Campbell Hwy. to the west where we will camp on Little Salmon Lake Campground (Distance approx. 500km).

After a short rest we will start our trip on the Little Salmon River.
It starts wide and lazy but after a few kilometres it shows us the river in magnificence and I can say for sure: "The northern Canadian animal world will be present in a big variety".

The lower part of the river will be faster and hard to predict sometimes. If you are willed to take a short bath in the river we will meet the Yukon River after about 50 km. After a few kilometres on the Yukon River our tour will come to an end.

It will depend on the weather if we will set up 1 or 2 night camps. The region around the Yukon River is very moody.

Don't worry, my reliable partner will be waiting for us at the end of our tour.
Our drive leads us to the Alaska Hwy in the Yukon Territory, then along the South Canol Road to Faro. The South Canol Road and its surrounding is a feast for the eyes.
Loading the truck with canoe etc.

Canoe tour "Mayo River"

Approx. 4 hours by vehicle from Little Salmon Lake, we will arrive in Keno-City in the northern part of the Yukon Territory.

Gold rush history for over two centuries on a big scale.
In the surrounding area of Keno and Elsa one finds up to 2000 km of former mining trails. In Keno itself there are about 17 year round residents, descendents of 8 Nations.

An interesting place with even more interesting people.
We will start our canoe trip on the "Mayo River" out of Keno.

This will be a 3 day tour on tranquil silvery river waters.

Again we will get intoxicated by the northern nature of the Yukon Territory.
Time to enjoy, forget and to dangle one's soul!

Mayo  -  Dawson City  -  Whitehorse

Dawson City and its probably most famous Gold rush of the history.

Gather your impressions on your own!

Night life is interesting, almost as a century ago and absolutely worth seeing.
Dawson City 1898
The following day we will sleep in - with or without hangover - and afterwards up we go along the Klondike Hwy. towards Whitehorse.
We will pass lots of places of interest, under other the "Five Finger Rapids".
The drive to Whitehorse takes about 7 hours.

In Whitehorse we will shop for our well being, afterwards we will drive back to our base ranch at Indian Creek.
Joy for a cosy bed will be deeper than ever!

The total distance per vehicle will be about 950 km.

"FrankFrank Lake"

A short trip to relax and enjoy.

An approximately 80 min hike will lead us to a breathtaking small lake. On its shore you will find a extremely snugly log cabin.
Good fishing for pike.

Free use of canoe.

One of the peculiar sounds up there is the silence which let's one's heartbeat appear to be too loud.
